Controller technology is becoming increasingly important as the interaction between consumers and electronics reaches new levels of sophistication and personalization. SST has 19+ years of controller design expertise, which provides the foundation for our award-winning NANDrive™ product family, and our successful FlashFlex® microcontrollers.


SST's flash microcontrollers are designed to help customers meet the size, power and performance requirements of next-generation electronic products. Featuring SST's SuperFlash® nonvolatile flash memory cells, the flash microcontrollers bring enhanced user experiences and convenience to consumers by supporting functions such as In-System Programming (ISP) and In-Application Programming (IAP), which enables programming "on-the-fly" to reduce cost and improve time-to-market for manufacturers.

SST NAND controllers intelligently manage the inherent deficiencies of NAND flash, taking this burden off of the host system and making the designer's job easier. Our high-performance NAND controllers are the primary choice for NAND flash-based modules and solid-state drives that require long product life, high reliability and low power consumption. All of our NAND controllers are based on our advanced NAND management technology, which provides high reliability, increased data integrity, powerful error correction capability, power-down protection and prolonged product life for data storage systems.
